Vertigo is one of common symptom in Indian population, appx 3-5% incidence, and most of time people and even general physician attribute it to cervical cause, but in reality most common cause of dizziness is Inner ear causes( BPPV, Vestibular Neuritis, Menniers disease. Etc), Central cause(stroke and brain tumours, Vestibular Migraine), cardiac and metabolic cause. Diagnosis of cause of vertigo requires thorough History and ENT and vestibular examination and Vertigo Diagnostic test(VNG,CCG, SVV, Dynamic Visual acuity), After Diagnosis of cause of vertigo is established, its treatment is done by Repositioning Maneuver, Rehabilitative exercise, certain drugs for treatment of specific cause.
